David is a passionate juggler, fire and poi master who has been dedicated to his hobby for a decade, not only as a teacher but also as a professional performer. During this time he has managed to attend many workshops in Slovakia and abroad and still enjoys learning new juggling tricks, discovering new equipment, and passing on his knowledge to others. Tereza Trenčanská
Tereza is involved in aerial acrobatics as a teacher and a performer. You can meet her at the aerial acrobatics course for beginners, but occasionally also at a children's course. The courses are cheerful thanks to her varied warm-ups, which also engage the brain, as she works as a speech therapist during the day. Apart from the circus, you can also meet her running or cycling in the hills.

Lenka Pechová
Lenka first encountered juggling and fire shows in high school and since then the new circus has been a part of her life. So you could say she's been in the circus community for more than half of her life. She has worked in several troupes that were mainly involved in fire and light shows, and managed one for a long time herself.
After her kids started going to the kindergartener, she is back to circus in full force again. At CirKusKus she is part of the performance team, manages the social media and some of the administrative work.
Apart from the new circus, Lenka is busy with her family’s coffee van, loves to travel, prefers to slowly discover hidden beauties and wander the roads-not-travelled, writes posts and blogs, and weeds the flowers.

Matej Polák
Matej has only been actively involved in the circus for about a year and a half, but he has already tried many things during that time. He enjoys juggling, stilts, and partner acrobatics the most. On the contrary, poikis make him the most nervous. In addition to workshops and performances, he is in charge of coordinating our volunteers and occasionally repairs and installs things.
Matej works as an English teacher and spends the rest of his free time rock climbing, cycling, going to the movies, or attending good concerts.

Greta
Greta came to CirKusKus from Lithuania for a four-month Erasmus+ graduate internship and chose to learn about the world of contemporary circus. After completing her bachelor's degree in Creative Industries, Greta decided to use the knowledge she had gained during her studies, internships, and work experience in one of the creative industries disciplines. She enjoys seeing the behind-the-scenes aspects of projects, their management, marketing, and getting to know the creative field from a different angle, which is often invisible to the audience. Therefore, Greta's tasks during this period will be related with marketing, social media and content creation, management and administrative tasks. One of Greta's wishes for the projects is to increase their accessibility for international people, students, and interns in English. Therefore, she aims to help with the translation of content into English.
Ugnė came to CirKusKus for a half a year long Erasmus+ internship after she graduated in “Art History, Criticism and Media” studies in Lithuania. Her thesis involved analysis of contemporary circus and her aim here will be to understand how all the theory works in real life. Her tasks here will of course also involve learning of new circus skills, but most of the time the focus will be on the management side of the circus school. She will do tasks like job-shadowing, learn how coordinating, funding, bookings, advertising, networking and other things needed for an organisation like this to function work.

Christine
Former team members:
Hey, I’m Fedja and I’m from Slovenia ! I’m involved now with circus for two years doing mainly juggling, but I know basics of many other disciplines. I am also a musician and visual artist, I try to combine sound, video and juggling into one performance. In my half year stay here, I hope to learn a thing or two about teaching children and to bring some fresh creative energy into CirKusKus, with love for improvisation.
Fedja
Christine is a circus artist from Greece. Graduated preparatory circus school in Portugal and has taught circus in the Netherlands, England, Portugal and now in Slovakia. She came to volunteer for Cirkuskus and learn as well as share what she knows, while having fun with it!
Her disciplines are aerial hoop, and flow arts. Although she is dedicated to her disciplines, she loves to mix it up a bit by experimenting other apparatuses and props. She worked as an entertainer, performer and teacher even before graduating circus school and believes circus is for everyone. She loves to teach kids and adults but also can’t stay away from the stage. Circus is beneficial for the mind and the body, combining athleticism and creativity, if everyone did a little bit of circus every day the world would be a nicer place.
